This is my first large-scale work in a long time — 165 × 165 cm. The process itself brought me immense joy. I genuinely love painting anything connected to water, to the body and water.
These images are always symbolic for me. Water represents an invitation to dive inward, into my inner landscapes. It is a quiet presence within these inner waters — exploring states, discovering treasures, and bringing them up from the depths into the “upper world.”
I see the upper world as a space where imagination, ideas, and possibilities take form. It’s where I can clearly see what I’m truly drawn to and where inspiration emerges. The outer world is just as beautiful to me as the inner one. They mirror one another; one cannot exist without the other.
In this painting, I symbolically express the state of being in both worlds at once — the inner and the outer — and the process of finding those deep gifts that rise to the surface.
